Assistance with developing independent living skills
Training in Living Skills involves providing the Consumer with information, training and care to assist them with developing skills in independent living and social development.
Our services strive to maximise choice, respond to the individual needs of people with a disability, and promote the dignity and respect of our Consumer, their family and their Carers.
CSI Support Workers assist with:
- Budgeting and bill paying
- Transport training
- Training with meal preparation
- Dealing with correspondence and essential paperwork
- Telephone calls and telephone reassurance service
- Accompanying the Consumer to the bank or to attend an appointment
- Providing access to information services regarding goods and services, referral and education or training for Carers
- Assisting the Consumer to develop interpersonal communication skills
- Building confidence
