Anthea Le Cornu Chair

Anthea is an aged care specialist with 34 years of experience spanning seven different providers across the South Australian Aged Care Industry.Working as a personal support worker for 12 years cemented her commitment to working with elderly people with physical disabilities and mental health challenges.  A variety of roles followed including registered nurse, clinical nurse consultant, site manager of large aged care homes and human resource executive for 5 years with Churches of Christ Life Care Inc.In 2011, Anthea established an aged care consultancy business, providing advice and support to aged care organisations across Australia including Board, senior management teams and front line workers.Anthea holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Flinders University, is a Clinical Nurse and Administrator panel member with the Department of Social Services, is a qualified assessor with the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency and also provides training in SA on behalf of Beyondblue and Leading Aged Care Services Vic.

Anthea is currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sally Wheldrake Deputy Chair

Sally holds a Bachelor of Science from Flinders University.  Since graduating, Sally has worked in the Information Technology Industry in South Australia, with roles in both the private and government sectors. 

Sally is currently the Associate Director of Infrastructure Services at Flinders University where she provides strategic and high level operational leadership to the Infrastructure Service Group within Information Technology Services (ITS).  Principle accountabilities include driving strategic and operational planning and service improvement initiatives that support the University’s strategic plan and future vision.  These initiatives include a $14m network refresh program that delivers enhanced network services for students and staff, establishment of an offsite data centre for high availability and resilience of onsite systems and the oversight of IT Infrastructure, including the Audio Visual services for two new innovative buildings at Tonsley Park and the new Student Hub. 

Sally was recently elected to the Flinders University council, the governing board of the University, for a two year term commencing in January 2017. 

She completed the Governors Leadership Foundation course designed to develop wiser leaders for South Australia.

Sally is passionate about living and working in Adelaide and enjoys world travel.  She is especially interested in contributing to the broader South Australian community.

 

Andrew Harris Director

Andrew has worked in a variety of financial management leadership positions as a qualified accountant over the last 30 years.  From 2002 to 2011 he worked for Churches of Life Care Inc., a large Adelaide based aged care service provider as Finance Manager and then as Business Management Executive.

In 2011, Andrew established a specialised aged care management consultancy business and has provided advice and support to Board and management of various metropolitan and regional aged care providers, to government and to industry associations.Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics, is a Fellow of CPA Australia and holds a Professional Practice Certificate with the Institute of Public Accountants.

Iain Woollaston Director

Iain is the General Manager of Cook Building and Development in South Australia.  The firm specialises in both new build and refurbishment projects.Iain has extensive experience in commercial project work, both here and in the United Kingdom ranging through small niche work to large scale multi-million dollar projects.  He has won several industry awards in recognition of the excellence of his project work.

Iain is a proud father, keen on all football codes and regularly attends games.  One of his sons has cerebral palsy and he is committed to giving back to the disability sector.

Wendy Williamson Director

Wendy Williamson

Wendy has lived and worked in Adelaide, Darwin, Perth and Sydney.  She has worked at Flinders University for the past 10 years in an administrative capacity, with extensive experience in Work, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Meeting Management and Executive Support. Previous experience has been in local government as well as private enterprise.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree, gained as a mature aged student at Flinders University, studying Psychology, History and Italian. 

Spending time with extended family, including two young grandchildren, is a valued and favourite activity. 

Wendy has a personal interest in disability support from family experience and is keen to contribute to this important and changing sector.

Ruth Davey

Ruth has worked in the field of disability for over 30 years.  She was employed at Barkuma Inc., an organisation providing support to people with intellectual disability and held the position of Manager, Quality Assurance and Evaluation. 

Ruth is now contracted by Cara Inc. in the area of Customer Engagement to conduct surveys and focus groups on customer satisfaction with the services people receive. 

Ruth’s introduction to CSI occurred through the individualised support provided to her daughter Vicky in her business “Vicky’s Homemade Pasta” and other community activities.

After taking an Honours degree in Science from Melbourne University, Ruth progressed to a Masters degree in Policy and Administration from Flinders University with a focus on Program Evaluation.  Her interest in Quality of Life for people with disability resulted in a PhD from Flinders University in 2008 with a thesis titled “Exploration of the Relationship of Self-employment and Quality of LIfe”.
