As many of you would know,
we conducted a survey of our consumers and a sample of our self-employed
and employed support workers in 2008. We were
very pleased with the response rate to the survey and would like
to share some of the results with you.
Support Workers
Most CSI self-employed support workers (contractors) have been
contracting to CSI for over 5 years.
70% of workers feel that they are provided with enough information
when taking on new consumers
75% of workers who completed the survey said they would welcome more training.
36% rated the level of customer service by office staff as excellent and 43% rated it as good.
In addition to these statistics,
we were also very pleased with the many comments we received,
particularly the suggestions on ways that we can improve the
quality of service we provide to consumers. Some consumers made
mention about the hours and/or type of support that they receive,
such as they would like to receive more hours, etc.
Unfortunately
this is a decision that is not made by us at CSI, rather it is
the consumer's Case Manager who decides on the type and number
of hours of service. These queries will need to be taken up with
Case Managers directly.
