Training in Living Skills

Assistance with developing independent living skills

This service is available to people with a disability and the frail aged who are in stable health.

Training in Living Skills involves providing the Consumer with information, training and care to assist them with developing skills in independent living.

Our services strive to maximise choice, respond to the individual needs of people with a disability, and promote the dignity and respect of our Consumer, their family and their Carers .



CSI Service Providers assist with:

  • Money management and bill paying
  • Transport training
  • Training with meal preparation
  • Dealing with correspondence and essential paperwork
  • Telephone calls and telephone reassurance service
  • Accompanying the Consumer to the bank or to attend an appointment
  • Representations made by or on behalf of the Consumer
  • Providing access to information services regarding goods and services, referral, access to welfare services and education or training for Carers
  • Or any similar assistance you require


Community Support Incorporated is a not-for-profit quality organisation offering a variety of services throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area and rural centres of South Australia.

Community Support Incorporated can make available CSI Approved Service Providers who have satisfied rigorous service assurance standards and a periodic SA Police verification for a satisfactory national offender history, or CSI can assist you to utilise the personal care/support services of a person nominated by you, who CSI can confirm has a current driver's licence and a satisfactory police check.

Referrals for all Community Support Incorporated services are welcome from individuals as private Consumers (yourself, family, friends) as well as professionals and Government, private and community organisations.
